Fashawn is "a beast." Simply put on his MySpace page, he seems confortable with this comparison. He's already hooked up on a collab with Evidence and Alchemist...Fashawn is wasting no time. And he's only 19 years old. With influences like Rakim, Nas, and Common, you can get a feel for what this guy's bars are like. A Fresno native, his lyrics are street-influenced with emphasis on wordplay and style. He explains how he was born into the culture of hip-hop, and being a 90s baby, draws from many areas of the culture. This certainly shows in his music, with dead-on production and great rhyming. Fash is the truth. I wish more artists like him were out with songs on the radio than all this crap ringtone rap and glut of fake artists with no skills glorifying lives they have never led. A true emcee. He needs to be tops in the next 1000.
